Rehydrating
- 900mlWater
Relish
- 30mlVegetable Oil
- 150gOnion (finely chopped)
- 8gGarlic (crushed)
- 300gTomato (finely chopped)
- 120mlWater
- 2gChili Powder
- 5gSalt

Place the mopane worms in a pot with the rehydrating water and simmer until tender, then drain well.

Heat the vegetable oil in a pan over medium heat.

Add the onion and cook until soft, then stir in the garlic and cook until fragrant.

Add the tomato and cook until it forms a thick sauce.

Stir in the mopane worms, water, chili powder, salt, and black pepper.

Simmer gently around 90°C (194°F) until the sauce clings to the mopane worms, then serve hot.
