    Kataifi Pastry (loosely separated)
  • 120g
    Unsalted Butter (melted)

Filling

  • 350g
    Nabulsi Cheese (soaked and sliced)

Syrup

  • 250g
    White Sugar
  • 200ml
    Water
  • 12ml
    Orange Blossom Water

Garnish

  • 25g
    Pistachio Nuts (crushed)

    Preheat the oven to 200°C (400°F).

    Toss the kataifi pastry with the melted unsalted butter until evenly coated.

    Press half of the buttered kataifi pastry firmly into a baking pan.

    Spread the nabulsi cheese evenly over the pastry base, leaving a small border around the edge.

    Cover with the remaining kataifi pastry and press down gently so the top is even.

    Bake until the pastry is deep golden and the nabulsi cheese is hot and soft inside.

    Simmer the white sugar and water until the sugar dissolves and the syrup slightly thickens. Remove from the heat and stir in the orange blossom water.

    Pour the warm syrup over the hot pastry.
