Method

Place the kava root powder in a clean straining bag set over a bowl and pour in the water.

Knead and squeeze the bag in the water until the liquid is cloudy and earthy in color.

Lift out the bag and let excess liquid drain back into the bowl; do not add the sediment.

Serve immediately in modest portions. Do not combine with alcohol or sedating medicines.
