    Preheat the oven to 160°C (320°F) and line a baking tray.

    In a bowl, mix the oats, desiccated coconut, all-purpose flour, and brown sugar.

    In a small saucepan, melt the unsalted butter with the golden syrup over low heat.

    Stir the baking soda into the water, then pour it into the butter mixture and stir until foamy.

    Add the wet mixture to the dry ingredients and mix until a sticky dough forms.

    Roll portions of dough into balls, place them on the tray, and flatten them slightly.
