Dough

- 7gActive Dry Yeast
- 220mlWhole Milk (lukewarm)
- 1pcsEgg
- 5gSalt
- 40gWhite Sugar
- 40gUnsalted Butter (melted)

- 160gPlum Jam

Method

Stir the active dry yeast into the lukewarm whole milk and let it stand until foamy.

Mix the all-purpose flour, white sugar, and salt. Add the egg, melted unsalted butter, and yeast mixture, then knead until smooth and elastic.

Cover the dough and let it rise until doubled.

Divide the dough into equal pieces, flatten them, add the plum jam, and pinch each bun tightly closed.

Arrange the buns seam-side down in a steamer with space between them and let them rest while the steamer heats.

Steam at 100°C (212°F) until puffed and cooked through.

Coat the hot buns with the melted unsalted butter.
