Method

Heat the ghee in a pot over medium heat. Add the onion and cook until soft, then stir in the garlic.

Add the chicken thighs pieces, chicken stock, cardamom powder, black pepper, salt, and cinnamon stick. Cover and simmer until the chicken thighs pieces reach 74°C (165°F).

Stir in the cracked wheat and cook over low heat, stirring often, until the grains break down and the mixture is thick and creamy.

Lower the heat and stir in the plain yogurt. Warm gently without boiling hard.

Remove the cinnamon stick and serve hot with chicken in each portion.
