- 250gCornmeal
- 350mlWater
- 6gSalt
- 30gUnsalted Butter
- 120gQueso Seco Cheese (crumbled)

Method

Bring the water to a simmer in a saucepan. Stir in the salt and unsalted butter until the butter melts.

Add the cornmeal and stir constantly until a thick dough forms and pulls away from the sides of the pan.

Remove from the heat and mix in the queso seco cheese until evenly distributed.

Shape the dough into short sticks.

Heat the vegetable oil to 175°C (350°F).

Fry the sticks until golden and lightly crisp, then drain and serve warm.
