- 120gOnion (finely chopped)
- 10gGarlic (crushed)
- 30gTomato Paste
- 2gBlack Pepper
- 600mlVegetable Oil

Method

Boil the cassava root in the water until very tender, then drain well.

Mash the cassava root until smooth, mix in the salt, and let it cool until easy to handle.

Cook the ground beef in a pan over medium heat until browned and its center reaches 71°C (160°F).

Add the onion and garlic and cook until softened.

Stir in the tomato paste and black pepper and cook until the filling is thick and well seasoned.

Shape portions of cassava dough into rounds, place some filling in the center, and close the dough around it to form fritters.

Heat the vegetable oil to 175°C (350°F) in a deep pan over medium-high heat.

Fry the fritters until golden and crisp, then drain and serve warm.
