Rice
- 250gWhite Rice (rinsed)
- 700mlWater
- 40mlSoy Sauce
- 20mlSesame Oil
- 40gScallion (finely chopped)
- 10gGarlic (finely chopped)
- 6gSalt
Tofu
- 600gFirm Tofu (pressed dry)
- 25mlVegetable Oil

- 15gSesame Seeds (lightly crushed)

Method

Cook the white rice with the water until tender, then let it cool slightly.

Season the warm rice with the soy sauce, sesame oil, scallion, garlic, and salt. Mix well and set aside.

Cut the firm tofu into thick rectangles and pat them dry again if needed.

Heat the vegetable oil in a skillet over medium heat to about 175°C (350°F). Pan-fry the firm tofu until lightly golden on both sides.

Cut a slit into each piece of tofu to form a pocket, then carefully fill each one with the seasoned rice.

Finish with the sesame seeds and serve warm.
