- 200mlWater (warmed)
- 40gWhite Sugar

Method

Combine the warmed whole milk, warmed water, white sugar, and active dry yeast. Let it stand until foamy.

Stir in the all-purpose flour and salt to make a thick batter, then fold in the raisins.

Cover and let the batter rise in a warm place around 30°C (86°F) until doubled and bubbly.

Heat the vegetable oil to 180°C (350°F).

Drop rounded spoonfuls of batter into the hot oil and fry in batches, turning as needed, until the dough balls are evenly golden brown and cooked through.
