    Heat the coconut oil in a soup pot over medium heat, then cook the onion until softened. Add the garlic and stir until fragrant.

    Pour in the water and bring it to a boil at 100°C (212°F). Add the sweet potatoes and simmer until nearly tender.

    Stir in the smoked fish and coconut milk, then keep the soup at a gentle simmer around 90°C (195°F) until the sweet potatoes is fully soft and the broth is flavorful.
