Method

Preheat the oven to 200°C (390°F). Grease a deep baking dish with the softened unsalted butter and line the base with baking paper.

Whisk the eggs, white sugar, brown sugar, vanilla extract, and salt until well combined, then whisk in the sour milk.

Sift in the all-purpose flour and baking soda and whisk until smooth. Mix in the melted unsalted butter.

Pour the batter into the prepared dish and cover tightly with a lid or foil.

Bake for 2 hours, then reduce the oven to 100°C (210°F) and continue baking for 2 hours without uncovering.
