    cream the unsalted butter with the powdered sugar until light. Beat in the egg and vanilla extract.

    Mix the all-purpose flour, baking powder, and salt, then add them to the butter mixture to form a soft dough.

    Roll the dough out and cut into small rounds. Bake at 180°C (355°F) until the biscuits are set and only lightly golden.
