- 25mlOrange Blossom Water
- 3gSalt

- 350gDate (pitted)

Method
Follow each step in order. Ingredient names are highlighted as you go.

Mix the all-purpose flour and salt in a bowl. Add the water and orange blossom water, then knead until smooth. Cover and let the dough rest.

Warm the date in a small pan over low heat until soft, then stir in the cinnamon powder, anise seeds, and orange zest. Let it cool slightly.

Roll it out into thin rectangles and place a line of filling down the middle of each one.

Fold the dough over the filling, press to seal, and cut into small diamond or rectangular pastries.
