    Garlic (crushed)
  • 10g
    Fresh Ginger (crushed)
  • 10g
    Chili Powder
  • 5g
    Turmeric Powder
  • 30ml
    Lime Juice

    Preheat a grill or oven to 220°C (425°F).

    Pat the mackerel dry and score the skin shallowly.

    Mix the garlic, fresh ginger, chili powder, turmeric powder, lime juice, salt, and coconut oil into a paste.

    Rub the paste over the fish and into the cuts. Rest in the refrigerator for 20 minutes.

    Grill or roast until browned and the thickest part reaches 63°C (145°F), turning once if grilling.
