Heat the extra virgin olive oil in a large pot over medium heat. Add the ground beef and cook for 8 to 10 minutes, breaking it up, until browned and 71°C (160°F) in the center.

Add the onion and cook until softened, then stir in the garlic, baharat, paprika, chili powder, salt, and black pepper.

Add the tomato paste and cook briefly until it darkens and smells sweeter.

Pour in the meat stock and add the chickpeas. Bring to a boil, then lower to a steady simmer.

Add the macaroni pasta and cook for 10 to 12 minutes, stirring often, until the pasta is tender and the broth has thickened into a rich sauce.
