    Heat the extra virgin olive oil in a wide pot over medium heat. Add the garlic and cook briefly without letting it brown.

    Stir in the tomato paste, tomato, chili powder, cumin powder, paprika, salt, and black pepper. Cook until the tomatoes soften and the mixture thickens slightly.

    Pour in the fish stock, bring to a boil, then lower the heat and simmer for 8 to 10 minutes, until the sauce is fragrant.
