- 500gCornmeal
- 1.2lWater
- 6gSalt
Greens
- 30mlVegetable Oil
- 150gOnion (finely chopped)
- 250gTomato (finely chopped)
- 300gMorogo Greens (roughly chopped)
- 2gBlack Pepper

Method

Bring the water to a boil in a heavy pot.

Sprinkle in the cornmeal while stirring constantly so it does not form lumps.

Add the salt, reduce the heat to low, cover, and cook for 20 to 25 minutes, stirring from time to time, until the porridge is thick, smooth, and firm.

Heat the vegetable oil in a pan over medium heat.

Add the onion and cook until softened and lightly golden.

Stir in the tomato and cook until it breaks down into a thick relish.

Add the morogo greens and cook for 8 to 12 minutes, until wilted and tender.
