    Preheat the oven to 220°C (425°F) and line a baking tray.

    Mix the all-purpose flour, baking soda, and salt in a large bowl.

    Make a well in the centre, pour in the buttermilk, and mix quickly until a soft dough forms.

    Turn onto a lightly floured surface and shape gently into a round loaf without heavy kneading.
