Dough

- 30mlVegetable Oil
- 220mlWater (warm)
Filling
- 350gGround Beef
- 250gPotato (peeled and diced)
- 900mlWater
- 100gOnion (finely chopped)
- 10gGarlic (crushed)
- 150gTomato (finely chopped)
- 120gBell Pepper (finely chopped)
- 20mlVegetable Oil

Method

Mix the all-purpose flour, baking powder, and salt. Rub in the vegetable oil, add the warm water, and knead until smooth. Cover and rest.

Cook the potato in the water until tender, then drain and mash lightly.

Heat the vegetable oil in a skillet over medium heat. Cook the onion until soft, then stir in the garlic.

Add the ground beef and cook to 71°C (160°F). Stir in the tomato, bell pepper, potato, salt, and black pepper and cook until fairly dry, then cool.

Roll the dough out and cut into rounds. Add filling, fold, and press the edges firmly to seal.

Heat the vegetable oil to 175°C (350°F). Fry in batches until deep golden and crisp on both sides.
