- 8pcsWhite Bread
- 400mlWhole Milk
- 4pcsEgg (beaten)
- 5mlVanilla Extract
- 200mlVegetable Oil
Syrup
- 250gPanela (chopped)
- 400mlWater
- 2pcsCinnamon Stick

Method

Simmer the panela, water, and cinnamon sticks until the panela dissolves and the syrup lightly thickens. Keep it warm.

Mix the whole milk with the vanilla extract.

Dip the white bread into the milk mixture until softened but still able to hold its shape.

Coat the soaked bread in the beaten eggs.

Heat the vegetable oil to 175°C (350°F) and fry the bread until golden on both sides. Drain briefly.

Place the fritters into the warm syrup and let them soak until the centers are soft and flavored.

Serve warm with extra syrup spooned over the top.
