- 500gPotato (peeled and cut into chunks)
- 120gOnion (finely chopped)
- 1.5lWater
- 2pcsBay Leaf
- 10gSalt
- 2gBlack Pepper

Place the seal in a heavy pot with the water and bring it to a gentle simmer over medium heat.

Skim off any foam, then add the onion and bay leaves.

Cover loosely and simmer gently until the seal is thoroughly cooked and beginning to become tender.

Add the potato and continue simmering until the meat is fully tender and the potatoes are soft enough to lightly thicken the broth.
