Dough
- 400gAll-Purpose Flour
- 10gBaking Powder
- 8gSalt
- 220mlWater
Filling
- 220gCanned Tuna (drained)
- 160gOnion (finely chopped)
- 160gTomato (finely chopped)
- 110gGreen Bell Pepper (finely chopped)
- 3gBlack Pepper
- 4gChili Powder
- 30mlVegetable Oil

- 800mlVegetable Oil

Method
Follow each step in order. Ingredient names are highlighted as you go.

Mix the all-purpose flour, baking powder, and salt. Add the water and knead until smooth, then cover and let the dough rest.

Heat the vegetable oil in a pan over medium heat. Add the onion and cook until soft.

Stir in the green bell pepper and tomato and cook until the mixture is thick and no longer watery.

Add the canned tuna, black pepper, and chili powder. Mix well and cool the filling completely.

Heat the vegetable oil to 175°C (347°F) in a deep, stable pot.

Roll the dough to about 3 mm (1/8-inch thick), cut it into evenly sized pieces, add the filling, and seal the edges firmly.

Fry the pastries in batches until evenly golden and crisp. Drain before serving.
