Method

Heat the oven to 225°C (435°F). Place the unsalted butter in a 23 x 33 cm (9 x 13-inch) baking dish and warm it until melted.

Whisk together the whole milk and eggs. Add the all-purpose flour, white sugar, and salt, then whisk until smooth.

Carefully remove the hot dish from the oven and swirl the melted unsalted butter around the base and sides.

Pour in the batter and bake until the pancake is puffed, golden, and set in the center.
