Method

Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F).

Mix the corned beef, onion, garlic, salt, and black pepper in a bowl.

Layer several taro leaves pieces together to make a base for each portion. Spoon the corned beef mixture into the center and top with some coconut cream.

Fold the taro leaves around the filling to make tight bundles.

Soften the banana leaves briefly over heat or with hot water so they bend easily, then wrap each bundle securely.

Place the parcels in a baking dish, cover, and bake for about 50 minutes, until the taro leaves are completely tender and the filling is steaming hot.
