Method

Stir the active dry yeast into the warm whole milk and leave it until foamy.

In a large bowl, mix the bread flour, white sugar, salt, and cardamom powder.

Add the egg, niter kibbeh, and the yeast mixture, then knead until the dough is smooth and elastic.

Cover and let the dough rise in a warm place until doubled in size, about 1 hour.

Shape the dough into a round loaf and place it on a lined tray.

Sprinkle the top with the sesame seeds.
