- 40mlNiter Kibbeh

Cook the onion in a pot over medium heat until soft and fragrant.

Add the niter kibbeh, then stir in the garlic, fresh ginger, berbere, tomato paste, and turmeric powder.

Add the lentils and stir so they are coated in the onion and spice mixture.

Pour in the water and bring the stew to a gentle simmer at about 95°C (203°F).

Cook until the lentils are tender and the liquid has thickened into a stew, stirring occasionally.
