- 800gPumpkin (peeled and cut into chunks)
- 1lWater
- 160gCornmeal
- 40gWhite Sugar
- 2gSalt
- 250mlWhole Milk (warmed)

Method
Follow each step in order. Ingredient names are highlighted as you go.

Place the pumpkin and water in a pot and bring to a boil at 100°C (212°F).

Reduce the heat and simmer until the pumpkin is very soft, about 20 minutes.

Mash the cooked pumpkin in the pot until mostly smooth.

Gradually stir in the cornmeal, mixing well so the porridge stays smooth.

Cook over low heat at about 90°C (194°F), stirring often, until the porridge thickens and the maize is fully cooked.

Stir in the white sugar and salt, then cook for a few more minutes.

Serve the porridge warm with the warmed whole milk.
