Method

Thread the almonds closely onto clean food-safe string, leaving enough room at the ends for hanging.

Whisk a little of the grape must with the corn starch until smooth, then add the remaining grape must.

Cook the mixture over medium heat, stirring constantly, until it becomes thick, smooth, and glossy.

Stir in the rose water.

Dip each almond string into the coating, lift it out, and let the excess drip away.

Hang the coated strings to dry slightly, then dip them again until a good layer has formed around the almonds.

Leave the finished strings hanging in a cool, airy place until the coating is dry and chewy, then slice to serve.
