    Plantain (green and peeled)
  • 500ml
    Vegetable Oil
  • 6g
    Salt

  • 40ml
    Salsa Lizano

    Lime (cut in wedges)

    Cut the plantains into thick rounds.

    Heat the vegetable oil to 170°C (338°F). Fry the plantains pieces until pale golden and just tender, then remove them.

    Flatten each piece into a thick disk, then return them to the oil heated to 180°C (356°F) and fry again until crisp and golden.

    Drain well and season with the salt while still hot.

    Arrange the patacones with the salsa, Salsa Lizano, and lime wedges.
