Method

Cook the ground beef in a pan over medium heat until it loses its raw color.

Add the onions, salt, and black pepper, and cook until the onions are soft and the filling is lightly browned. Let it cool slightly.

Heat the oven to 200°C (392°F).

Brush the baking dish with the vegetable oil. Lay out the phyllo dough and keep it covered so it does not dry out.

Brush each sheet lightly with vegetable oil, place a strip of filling along one edge, and roll into a long rope.

Coil the filled ropes into the dish to form a spiral and brush the top with vegetable oil.

Bake until the pie is deep golden and crisp and the meat filling reaches 71°C (160°F). Let it rest briefly before slicing.
