Method

Bring the water to a gentle simmer at about 95°C (203°F).

Add the black tea and let it simmer until the tea is strong and dark.

Strain out the black tea leaves and return the hot tea to the pot.

Add the whole milk, salted butter, and salt.

Whisk vigorously, or blend carefully, until the drink is smooth and lightly frothy.

Keep the tea hot without boiling, around 75°C (167°F), and serve immediately.
