    Sweet Potato (peeled and grated)
  • 250g
    Coconut Meat (grated)
  • 60g
    All-Purpose Flour
  • 90g
    White Sugar
  • 200ml
    Coconut Milk

    Ginger Powder

    Rinse the banana leaves and pass each piece briefly over a low flame or hot pan until pliable.

    Combine the sweet potato, coconut meat, all-purpose flour, white sugar, coconut milk, nutmeg powder, ginger powder, and salt in a bowl. Mix until evenly combined and thick enough to hold its shape.

    Place portions of the sweet potato mixture onto the softened banana leaves and fold each one into a tight parcel.

    Bring the water to a simmer in a steamer or large pot fitted with a rack.

    Arrange the parcels over the simmering water, cover well, and steam until the dumplings are firm and fully cooked through.
